Owen had his first pool experience this weekend.  We had a nice quick getaway to McMenamin's Grand Lodge in Forest Grove and took a dip in their soaking pool.  Owen was a bit skeptical but Mom & Dad sure thought it was fun!

Nature Boy - Part 4

As much as the pediatrician says it's important for him, we don't really like giving give Owen "tummy time" (i.e., time on his tummy some he can develop different muscles and learn to roll over). It takes Owen about sixty seconds to go from bouncing baby boy to irate infant.

Owen has mostly mastered holding his head up. He is now trying to learn to sit up...which, as evidenced below, still needs some work.

We've finally made enough progress with our back yard that it's nice to be back there. I want to get rid of most of the grass on the property, but we did want a small patch for Owen to sink his toes into.

Owen has started getting a little rice cereal now that he's 4 months old. He seems to be enjoying it. Mom will enjoy it if it fills him up and makes him less likely to wake up hungry overnight!
